- Fees for Consumers
Out-of-court dispute resolution proceedings are free of charge but complainants must pay a security deposit of EUR 20.00 by way of a handling fee when filing a complaint. If the Ombudsman dismisses the complaint without considering it or upholds it in whole or in part, the security deposit will be returned to the complainant. If the Ombudsman closes the case or rejects the complaint in its entirety in accordance with the procedure laid down in these Rules, the security deposit will not be returned.
